Srinagar:
The picturesque Srinagar, the Summer Capital of Jammu and Kashmir, is a city of lakes and gardens. It possesses the quiet calm of someone who has seen too much of life. Since its history began–some date it back to the 3rd century BC-it has witnessed opulence and horror.
The Khanqah of Shah-i-Hamadan is the first mosque in Srinagar and within its walls, grandeur reigns. Hazratbal Mosque is the only mosque with the dome and minarets typical to mosques. Nur Jahan’s Pathar Mosque is a simple expression of power. The huge Jama Masjid’s pillars of deodar are as brilliant as the ceiling of Naqshband Sahib Shrine.
History is captured and held intact at Sri Pratap Singh Museum and Burzahom, a Neolithic site. The museum has many of the famed carpets and embroidery that Kashmir is known for. Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar

Day 2:Srinagar to Gulmarg

After breakfast, proceed to Gulmarg. Spend the day sightseeing the picturesque locales. One can take the exhilarating cable car ride to Khilanmarg or Apharwat Snow Point (Cable car ride and Pony ride are not included in the package). Stay overnight at the hotel in Gulmarg.

Day 3: Gulmarg to Pahalgam

After breakfast, proceed to Pahalgam. On the way visit the Avantipur Ruins – the 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Check in at the hotel followed by hot lunch. The otherwise lethargic town of Pahalgam wakes up to welcome you when sizzling hot days engulf other parts of the country. The fresh aroma wafting from the pine forests around makes it even better. It is the perfect place for a few days of quietude, fresh air and mountain activities. The sweeping Himalayan slopes and numerous lakes make it ideal for summer and winter sports. Make your way to Hajan, which is instantly recognizable to any Indian movie buffs as many movies were shot here. After the movie Betaab was filmed here, the locals call it Betaab Valley.

Festivals like Eid, Lohri, Kemis and Baisakhi bring out the true spirit of Pahalgam. Day 5: Pahalgam to Srinagar

Day 6: Srinagar – Excursion to Sonmarg

After early breakfast at the hotel, proceed on a day excursion to Sonmarg, the ‘Meadow of Gold’. Enjoy a pony ride on the glacier (ponies can be hired directly). Stay overnight at the hotel in Srinagar.

Day 07: Srinagar to Delhi
